Living Maritime Heritage at the Shipyard in Jakobstad

Until the summer of 2026, the project "Living Maritime Heritage at the Shipyard in Jakobstad" will be ongoing. With a focus on our tangible and intangible maritime cultural heritage, a visit at the Shipyard will now become even more informative and interactive – for both young and old.

The project is carried out with Jakobstad's museum as the project owner and Vega-stiftelsen and Jakobstad's Gamla Hamn Ab as project partners. It is co-funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, through Leader-support from Aktion Österbotten, as well as the ELY Centre, the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland and the Otto A. Malm Foundation.
